Lani P. Shaw, Esq. is Counsel in the Enforcement & Compliance Division of the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In this role, Lani supervises and regulates national banks and federal savings associations. Primarily, Lani ensures that financial institutions operate in a safe and sound manner and in compliance with laws requiring fair treatment and fair access to financial products. Lani has prohibited bankers from working in the industry, obtained million dollar penalties for the U.S. Treasury and recovered millions of dollars in restitution for banks and customers. Lani has also led major investigations involving complex banking issues and served as lead trial attorney on matters before the Administrative Law Judge.
